Shillard could't find trees (economic proposal)

by AceofHeartsXY » Mon Mar 12, 2018 7:28 pm

i got my friend Shelby on (@Shillard)

and he couldnt find any trees to build the New Sunside "re-education and penitentiary facility" with.

So put on ur Central Banking cap for a second.

I think Kreatious needs a new economic system bcuz the diamonds as currency is not working. We need to change to a fiat economy, with the currency backed up by a certain amount of Emerald.

So now the economic system is 1:1 backed by Diamonds. 1 Diamond is essentially 1 unit of currency, backed by itself.

If you changed to, say, 5:1 or 6:1 (I think would work best) with the amount of currency "in circulation" backed by 5 or 6 emeralds. Then it would require emerald mining to provide for an economic expansion.

Oh yeah this will only work if I'm put in charge of the server's currency supply as well. Trust me.

What stops me from trading with villagers nearly indefinitely and flooding the market with emeralds. Making their [emeralds] value next to worthless. While diamond maintain obtainable primarily by mining and web trading and not as easy to flood the market with.

the Revolutionary Vanguard of the Proletariat would probably have to deal with counterfeiters the same way that they deal with royalist parasites, so I'm gonna need some moderator power to complete this plan as well ;)

Sorry Ace. My loyalty goes out the window when I see a red dot and I can be bribed with catnip.

One way to get around this would be to use emerald ore blocks instead ;)

Ore blocks aren't that difficult to find while caving in extreme hills. Maybe not indefinate amount but people looking to get rich would definitely spend the man hours mining for them.
